For those interested in this sort of thing, Spike TV has ordered a pilot for “Back Nine,” a show about a washed up, former U.S. Open golf champion.
Add this to BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE and the upcoming PLAYERS, and it would appear that Spike is slowly increasing their presence in the world of original scripted programming. I hope this is the case.
Until recently, Spike had been the go to network for Star Trek repeats, wrestling and shows about scantily clad hot chicks.
No word if Spike plans to cede this ground to G4.
