Have I mentioned how much I love hyperbole? I ask again because there are those who say and write that this is going to change superhero movies forever. Sure, that is until the next one.
One of the reasons why I am so excited about this movie is because it is self-financed through director Matthew Vaughn’s own production company. This is not a studio vehicle. This is an indy film and potentially a blockbuster. If this does change movies, I really hope it does so on the business end. I want investors who put up money for unique and passionate independent projects to be lavishly rewarded with bug returns. It will only encourage more investment in independent film.

Matthew Vaughn directs the adaptation of the Mark Millar, John Romita Jr. comic book. With Nicholas Cage, Chloe Moretz (MY FRIENDS TIGGER AND POOH), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin from SUPERBAD) and Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass.
